I Live On Two Streets

In Alex, I live at the corner of two streets. I have gates to drive in from either street. I have two nature strips to mow and maintain. I have friends living on both streets. My official address is on one of them, but I feel I belong to both.

I noticed this recently and it set me thinking. It is so apt. There are many other such features to me and my life.

Sometimes there is pressure on me to proclaim my loyalty, belonging exclusively to one street, but I cannot. I realise belonging to one is not at the expense of belonging to another – not for me, anyway.

I live at the intersection of two streets,

I belong to both of them.

I live at the intersection of two cultures – Eastern and Western,

I belong to both of them.

I live where love and hate meet,

I live with both of them.

I live where happiness and sorrow meet,

They both belong to me.

I live at the intersection of youth and old age,

I belong to both of them, I am middle-aged.

I live at the intersection of wealth and poverty,

I belong to both.

I live at the intersection of sanity and insanity

I belong to both.

I live at the corner of hope and despair

They both belong to me.

I live at the intersection of the past and the future,

I belong to both of them, in the present.

I live where the earth meets the sky,

I belong to both realms.

I live on the street of the living and street of the dying,

I belong to both of them.

For me, the opposite of love is not hate; it is no-love.

The opposite of sorrow is not happiness; it is no-sorrow.

The opposite of living is not dying; it is not-living.

Everything living is dying and everything dying is living, at the same time.

I live at the intersection of two streets,

I belong to both of them.

It’s a pleasure,
Living at the intersection of streets
Whenever we open our eyes,
We can see the confluence and integration of
The sun and moon
Here is no corner in the physical world;
We are living in the same village

Interesting writing!

The opposite of "something" is "nothing" - it reminds me of the philosophy of Martin Heidegger...

yeah, we all face different sides of something every day, not only two sides, life itself is  rich and colorful.

It's very beautiful, and very useful, it lets me think a lot of myself. We should always think about ourselves. the people who can realize themselves are great one.

police are involved in, so the rest money found by the folks naturally would be the talking points in the follow up story, I guess.

The problem is the line between the good and evil has blurred in today's world. what you think is good is likely to be seen as evil by other people.

    It all depends on perspective.
