Representatives from China, the 28 European Union Member States, and other countries gathered at the Delegation of the EU to China in Beijing to celebrate 2018 Europe Day recently.

Every year on May 9 the European Union celebrates Europe Day, also known as the "EU's Birthday."

At the event, EU Ambassador to China Hans Dietmar Schweisgut presented details of a year-long campaign which will give dozens of Chinese winners free round-trip tickets to Europe as part of the celebration of EU-China Tourism Year 2018.
